Apple iPad Pre-order rumored to go on sale this week!

As most of you know Apple has announced the iPad. Apple said that the iPad wifi will start to ship in late March. Rumors on App Advice, say Apple will start the iPad pre-sale in the coming week as early as late February.

Since the iPad is a new kind of device, I’m not sure if I will just use it at home or actually take it with me on the road. In latter case I would need the 3G option or find a wifi hotspot. My geek hormones, responsible for the urge to own what’s new, will most likely win and I will just put in my pre-order the iPad as soon as Apple lets me and get the Wifi iPad.

New Apple iPhone 4G will Sport a Touch Sensitive Frame

Although we’re still months away from the iPhone 4G launch, the rumors are starting to fly, again!  The rumor comes courtesy of analysts from the Goldman Sachs Group.  They have been informed that the iPhone 4G will be available around the June to July time frame, it will feature an improved 5MP camera, and touch-sensitive casing.

Those first two rumors are things we can assume to be true.  The new iPhone 4G will launch this summer and, unless Apple wants to fall behind all of the other manufacturers, it will feature an 5 MP camera at the very least.  The iPhones touch-sensitive casing  is something that Apple has patented in the past. They’ve definitely shown interest in the technology. Whether it’s ready quite this early is anyone’s guess.

‘Guessing’ is almost the best we can do when it comes to iPhone rumors. They’ll only be getting more frequent and crazy’r as we get closer to launch, so you’d best get ready for the deluge now.

Apps May Drive Apple’s Tablet to Success

It may not be the 10-inch touch-screen LCD display that drives customers to buy the Apple tablet computer, but rather the extensive library of apps for the device.

A senior research analyst at Piper Jaffray, said to clients on Monday that the tablet’s success will come from confident consumers of Apple’s mobile platform.  It is expected that Apple will use an iPhone operating system on the tablet. This would enabling consumers to utilize most existing apps.

It is now being reported that Apple has been requesting it’s developers to super-size versions of their apps.  Such reports help fuel the speculation that existing apps will work on the tablet.

Analyst’s at Piper Jaffray now say that Apple’s tablet most likely will compete in the netbook category. While the Netbook focuses on its portability, the tablet focusing “more on apps, entertainment content, iTunes Store, and Web surfing.”
